Website Resilience Personnel Ltd
Job Summary: Health Care Assistant (Temporary, Part-Time)
Resilience Personnel Ltd is seeking a compassionate and reliable Health Care Assistant for a temporary, part-time position based in Luton. In this role, you will provide essential care and support to residents, ensuring their dignity, independence, and personal preferences are respected at all times. You will work closely with the care team to implement personalized care plans, support residents with daily living activities, and contribute to a safe, nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
-
Person-Centered Care: Deliver high-quality personal care, treating every resident with dignity, respect, and kindness.
-
Care Plan Implementation: Support the delivery of care plans tailored to individual needs, involving residents in choices that enrich their daily lives.
-
Medication Management: Assist with the safe and effective administration of medication, strictly following individual care plans and company policies (subject to training).
-
Resident Engagement: Support residents with both individual and group activities to promote social interaction and well-being.
-
Safety & Risk Management: Contribute to risk assessments and ensure all support is provided in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Essential Requirements (Strict Criteria)
To be eligible for this position, you must possess the following:
-
Enhanced DBS Certificate: A current, valid Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service certificate.
-
Mandatory Training: Proof of completed mandatory training relevant to the health and social care sector.
Please note: Applications that do not meet these two specific requirements will not be considered.
Understanding Key Requirements
If you are new to the sector, it is important to understand why these prerequisites are strictly enforced:
-
Enhanced DBS Check: This is the highest level of criminal record check available in the UK. It is a legal requirement for roles involving “regulated activity” with vulnerable adults. It discloses spent and unspent convictions, cautions, and may include a check against the Adults’ Barred List to ensure the safety and protection of the residents you will be caring for.
-
Mandatory Training: This is compulsory training essential for the safe and efficient delivery of care. It typically covers core topics such as Moving and Handling, Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults (SOVA), Basic Life Support, Infection Prevention and Control, and Fire Safety. These modules ensure you can work safely and comply with Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards.
