Unique Job Description
Position: Head of Physical Education & Sport — The Architect of TSS Sporting Identity
Are you a “Sporting Strategist” ready to transform a school’s athletic culture from the ground up? The Scholars School is seeking a Head of PE, Swimming, Sport & ECA to join our leadership team in Dubai. We don’t just “run drills”; we build character, community, and a lifelong passion for wellness. This isn’t a role for a “whistle-on-the-sideline” coach; it’s a mission for a “Visionary Leader”—someone who can navigate a KHDA inspection one hour and inspire a BSME tournament team the next.
In this position, you are the heartbeat of the school’s extracurricular life. You will spend your days (and occasionally your weekends at fixtures) rebranding our sporting identity, managing a world-class House System, and leading the Duke of Edinburgh Award. Whether you are securing a new corporate sponsorship to broaden learner opportunities or mentoring a newly qualified teacher through their induction, your “leadership grit” and “administrative precision” will be our greatest assets. You thrive in a environment where you can differentiate the curriculum for every learner while pushing our elite teams to the top of the DASSA leagues.
We are looking for a proactive professional with a passion for excellence and a “Safeguarding-first” mindset. If you have the “interpersonal skills” to engage parents and the “strategic mastery” to manage a multi-phase department, TSS offers you a world-class platform to flourish. Join us in Dubai, and let’s engineer a more extraordinary and active future for every student at The Scholars School together.
The Scholars School, Dubai
The Company
The Scholars School is a premium-tier, co-educational British international school established by the Scholars International Group (SIG), an organization with over 50 years of educational heritage in the UAE. Opening its doors in August 2026, the school represents a strategic evolution for the group, occupying a landmark campus previously home to Clarion School. It offers a continuous educational pathway from Foundation Stage 1 to Year 13, delivering the National Curriculum for England. The school is designed to meet the growing demand for high-caliber British education in central Dubai, blending SIG’s established academic rigor with a modern, high-performance learning environment.
Culture
The culture at The Scholars School is anchored in the High-Performance Learning (HPL) framework, which operates on the belief that all students can achieve high levels of success regardless of their starting point. The school fosters an environment of “Purposeful Powerful Play” in early years and transitions into a culture of Inquiry and Resilience in senior years. The internal spirit is defined by five core values: Integrity, Empathy, Respect, Resilience, and Humility. It is a multicultural, student-centered community where learners are encouraged to be “authors of their own futures,” balancing academic ambition with a strong emphasis on social responsibility and community service.
Location
The school is located on a distinctive, premium campus in Al Quoz 1, specifically on Al Asayel Street (D13). The campus is noted for its unique architectural design, featuring curved forms, abundant natural light, and open-plan learning spaces crafted from natural materials. This central location provides exceptional accessibility for families residing in Downtown Dubai, Business Bay, and the Al Wasl corridors. Unlike many new school launches, the facility is a fully established, award-winning campus that includes specialized science labs, a multi-purpose sports hall, and dedicated outdoor discovery zones, offering a “calm and organic” sanctuary within the city’s industrial heart.
