Core Responsibilities

  • Front Desk Operations: Execute seamless check-in and check-out procedures, ensuring all guest information and payments are accurately recorded in the Property Management System (PMS).

  • Guest Concierge: Act as the central hub for guest inquiries, providing expert local knowledge on Calgary attractions, dining, and transportation.

  • Problem Resolution: Proactively manage and resolve guest concerns or complaints with a professional and empathetic approach.

  • Financial Accuracy: Manage daily shift cash-outs and credit card reconciliations; ensure all guest folios are accurate upon departure.

  • Communication Hub: Coordinate with Housekeeping and Maintenance departments to ensure rooms are ready and any guest issues are addressed immediately.

  • Brand Ambassadorship: Maintain a polished, professional appearance and a welcoming demeanor that reflects Sandman’s high standards of service.

Candidate Requirements

  • Schedule Flexibility: Ability to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

  • Experience: A background in hotel operations or a high-volume customer service environment is preferred.

  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are essential for interacting with a diverse range of guests.

  • Technical Proficiency: Ability to quickly learn and operate hotel software, multi-line phone systems, and payment terminals.
