Job Overview: Full-Time Nanny & Family Assistant (Brooklyn/Manhattan)

A busy household with three young children (ages 6 months, 4 years, and 5 years) is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Nanny/Family Assistant. This “hybrid” role is designed for a versatile professional who can balance high-quality infant care with the organizational needs of a fast-paced family home.

The ideal candidate is proactive, tidy, and comfortable working in a home with two cats. Because the household includes a newborn and two school-aged children, the family values someone who can jump in where needed—whether that is focused infant care or managing the general flow of the household.

  • Infant Focus: Provide attentive, hands-on care for a 6-month-old, including feedings, nap schedules, and developmental play.

  • Sibling Support: Assist with the older children (ages 4 and 5) as they transition from school to home life.

  • Safety: Maintain a vigilant and safe environment for all three children at all times.

Family Assistant & Household Management

  • Organization: Maintain and organize children’s areas and general household items.

  • Kitchen Upkeep: Manage daily dishes and ensure the kitchen remains clean and functional.

  • Laundry: Handle the children’s laundry and linens as needed.

  • Experience: Must provide 3–5 professional references from previous private household roles.

  • Certifications: Current CPR certification is mandatory.

  • Documentation: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and be at least 18 years of age.

  • Driving: A valid driver’s license is required.

  • Languages: Proficiency in Albanian, Spanish, or Italian is considered a significant plus.

  • Hourly Rate: $30.00 per hour.

  • Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:30 AM – 7:30 PM (50 hours per week).

  • Estimated Annual Salary: Due to the 50-hour work week (including 10 hours of overtime at time-and-a-half), the gross annual salary is approximately $85,800.

  • Benefits: * 2 weeks paid vacation.

    • 2 sick days and 2 personal days.

    • Healthcare stipend offered.

Why This Role?

This position offers a high level of professional variety. It is perfect for someone who enjoys the “Family Assistant” aspect of the job—taking pride in an organized home—just as much as they enjoy one-on-one infant care. The healthcare stipend and guaranteed overtime pay provide a level of financial security and professional respect that makes this a standout role in the Brooklyn/Manhattan market.
