Job Overview: Guest Services Supervisor

Hilton Phoenix Airport (managed by Highgate Hotels) is seeking a professional and revenue-driven Guest Services Supervisor. This role is designed for a hospitality leader who can balance “White Glove” guest service with the operational discipline required to maximize room revenue and occupancy.

As a supervisor, you are the bridge between management and the front-line Guest Service Agents, ensuring that every arrival, departure, and guest inquiry is handled with the efficiency and warmth expected of a major airport hub hotel.


Key Responsibilities & Front Office Leadership

Operational Oversight

  • Shift Management: Oversee the daily shift checklist, ensuring that bucket checks, room rate verifications, and housekeeping reports are completed accurately.

  • Systems Proficiency: Fully operate the Front Desk computer systems to manage reservations, rate quoting, and VIP requests.

  • Key & Security Control: Monitor key control protocols to maintain hotel security and ensure guest safety.

  • Communication Hub: Manage the delivery of messages, packages, and mail while maintaining the Front Office log and Trace File.

Revenue & Productivity

  • Revenue Maximization: Actively contribute to room revenue growth through effective Rooms Merchandising and awareness of all current packages and promotions.

  • Inventory Awareness: Maintain constant knowledge of restricted dates, closed-out periods, and in-house group needs.

  • Staff Development: Assist in the training and cross-training of new hires to ensure productivity levels meet or exceed budgeted standards.


Requirements & Qualification Standards

Mandatory Criteria

  • Experience: At least 2 to 3 years of progressive experience in a hotel or a related service field.

  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent. (College coursework in hospitality is helpful).

  • Licensing: Must possess a valid driver’s license for the state of Arizona.

  • Leadership: Previous supervisory experience is highly preferred.

Physical & General Requirements

  • Stamina: Ability to stand for the duration of an entire shift; flexible and long hours are sometimes required.

  • Physical Effort: Light work—exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally to move objects.

  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; ability to listen to and clarify complex concerns from both guests and employees.
