The Department of Finance and Risk Engineering at the NYU Tandon School of Engineering is inviting applications for a one-year Faculty Fellow position. Research Areas of Interest

The department is seeking candidates specializing in all areas of mathematics applied to financial engineering. Key areas of interest include:

  • Stochastic Analysis: Modeling random processes in financial markets.

  • Game Theory: Strategic decision-making and market microstructure.

  • Statistics & Data Science: Predictive modeling and the application of machine learning to financial data.

Requirements & Qualifications

Mandatory Credentials

  • Education: A Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics or a closely related field is required.

  • Expertise: Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary challenges in financial engineering and decision modeling within the context of economics and finance.

  • Performance: Evidence of strong potential for excellence in both research and teaching.
