Key Responsibilities
The Electrical Design Engineer manages the full technical lifecycle of automation electrical systems:

System Dimensioning: Create single-line diagrams (SLDs) and perform power calculations to ensure compliance with voltage drop, short-circuit current, and selectivity rules using tools like CANECO BT .

3D BIM Modeling: Utilize Revit to design detailed layouts for trunking, cable routing, and panel positioning; create and manage Revit families and utilize Dynamo for design automation.

Technical Documentation: Develop comprehensive project documentation, including Cable Schedules, Functional Design Specs (FDS), and Detailed Design Specs (DDS).

Material Management: Generate Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and Purchase Requisitions within SAP , managing the procurement of electrical materials based on approved submittals.

Standards Compliance: Design in strict accordance with international standards (EN, BS) and regional requirements (DEWA, SASO).

Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate closely with Mechanical, PLC Commissioning, Software, and Installation teams to ensure seamless system integration.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Academic Background: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering .

Specialized Experience: 4 to 5 years of professional experience in electrical design specifically within Logistics Automation (Baggage or Cargo Handling Systems).

Software Mastery: Expert-level hands-on experience with Revit , CANECO BT , and AutoCAD.

Preferred Tools: Knowledge of ePLAN P8 and the Dynamo plugin for Revit programming is highly advantageous.
