Job Overview
The Learning Assistant supports ELCC classrooms by preparing materials, assisting instructors, supervising students, reinforcing lessons, and contributing to a structured and welcoming learning environment. This part-time role is ideal for current students, recent graduates, or education professionals passionate about fostering student success.

Requirements

• Assist with lesson preparation and classroom setup

• Copy and distribute instructional materials, assignments, and exams

• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom

• Support students during class and reinforce learning concepts

• Supervise students in class or in absence of instructors

• Observe and report developmental concerns

• Assist with field trips, special events, and student services activities

• Take attendance, enforce classroom policies, and support team goals

Qualifications

• High school diploma required

• Minimum 1 year of experience in educational or child care settings

• Current ELCC students must maintain strong academic performance

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Patient, approachable, and supportive of diverse learners

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Professional, respectful, and proactive in all interactions
