Job Responsibilities

The Director acts as the commercial engine of the resort, overseeing all revenue-generating departments:

  • Strategic Leadership: Shaping and executing a comprehensive Sales & Marketing roadmap that enhances the resort’s market share and global prestige.

  • Team Management: Leading and mentoring a high-performance team across Sales, Marketing, PR, and Revenue Management to ensure goal alignment.

  • Financial Stewardship: Managing the department budget with precision, ensuring a high ROI on marketing spend and maintaining healthy P&L margins.

  • Market Intelligence: Rigorously monitoring UAE market trends and competitor activity to pivot strategies in real-time and capture emerging opportunities.

  • Revenue Optimization: Driving RevPAR (Revenue Per Available Room) and GOPPAR (Gross Operating Profit Per Available Room) through innovative pricing and distribution.

  • Brand Advocacy: Serving as the lead ambassador for the Sofitel brand, ensuring all luxury standards and marketing communications are flawlessly executed.

Candidate Requirements

Sofitel seeks an elite hospitality professional with a deep understanding of the Middle Eastern luxury landscape:

  • Tenure: 5–6 years of experience in a similar senior leadership role, specifically within 5-star luxury resorts.

  • Regional Expertise: A strong, proven background in UAE luxury hotel sales , with an established network of key stakeholders and travel partners.

  • Technical Mastery: Advanced knowledge of luxury sales techniques, digital marketing trends, and revenue management systems (eg, TARS, IDeaS).

  • Communication: Exceptional negotiation and presentation skills, with the ability to influence C-suite stakeholders and international partners.
