Job Overview
The Dietary Aide/Dishwasher plays a vital role in supporting residents and patients by preparing and serving meals while maintaining clean, safe dining spaces. This part-time position works within an assisted living or medical setting, following therapeutic diet standards, food safety guidelines, and rotating schedules to ensure a welcoming, hygienic environment.

Requirements

• Assist with basic food preparation and meal service

• Set, clear, clean, and sanitize dining areas

• Perform daily cleaning duties as scheduled

• Monitor and restock service areas

• Follow HACCP food safety standards

• Use cleaning chemicals according to WHMIS and MSDS guidelines

• Support special events and catering as assigned

Qualifications

• Valid Food Handler Certificate or provincial equivalent

• Experience as a dietary aide, or in hospitality or customer service

• Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines

• Ability to follow meal preparation instructions

• Strong time management and multitasking skills

• Ability to work independently and within a team

• Good communication and interpersonal skills

• Physical ability to perform job duties
