As a Delivery Driver, you are a “cross-trained” team member. When you aren’t on the road navigating the West LA area, you are an essential part of the in-store operation—helping with everything from order entry to pizza assembly.

Key Responsibilities & Functional Skills

Field Operations (Delivery)

  • Safe Transport: Deliver pizzas, sides, and beverages to customers in a designated area using your own insured vehicle.

  • Navigation: Read maps and locate addresses quickly, even in adverse terrain like multi-story apartment complexes or private homes.

  • Marketing: Assist in local outreach by delivering flyers and door hangers during your routes.

In-Store Operations

  • Customer Service: Receive and process telephone and in-person orders using a touch-screen system.

  • Product Prep: Prepare food products, stock ingredients, and learn to operate all kitchen equipment.

  • Inventory & Maintenance: Take inventory, complete paperwork, and perform daily cleaning of the facility and equipment.

Technical Competencies

  • Math: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide quickly to ensure correct monetary change for customers.

  • Coordination: High level of hand-eye coordination for rapid food assembly and precise movements.

  • Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and navigate up to five flights of stairs while carrying products.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

The role involves significant physical activity and exposure to various conditions:

  • Temperature Extremes: Transitioning from a 36°F walk-in cooler to kitchen areas that can reach 90°F+, and dealing with outdoor weather.

  • Sensory Awareness: Must be able to differentiate between hot surfaces (ovens reach 500°F) and cold surfaces, and possess strong depth perception for driving.

  • Ergonomics: Frequent reaching (up to 72″), stooping/bending at the waist during pizza assembly, and pushing/pulling dollies of dough trays (up to 30 lbs).

Requirements & Qualifications

Mandatory Criteria

  • License: Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record that meets company standards.

  • Vehicle: Reliable access to an insured vehicle dedicated to delivery use.

  • Age: Must meet the minimum age requirement for delivery drivers (typically 18+ for driving positions).

Soft Skills

  • Communication: Ability to comprehend written instructions and communicate clearly with both co-workers and customers.

  • Stress Management: Ability to work under pressure and meet strict quality control standards during “rush” periods.

Training & Compensation

  • On-the-Job Training: Orientation and hands-on training are provided to ensure you are comfortable with both the technology and the kitchen equipment.

  • Flexibility: Opportunities to work various shifts in a fast-paced environment.

The Organization & Culture Domino’s has moved beyond being just a pizza chain; in 2026, it operates as a technology-first logistics powerhouse. Under the global “Hungry for MORE” strategy, the company’s culture centers on “Innovation with Intent”—using high-tech tools to solve real-world delivery friction. In Los Angeles, the culture is fast-paced and data-driven, reflecting the city’s demand for speed and digital convenience. As of March 2026, Domino’s remains a dominant force in the QSR (Quick Service Restaurant) sector, leveraging AI-driven personalization and its “Fortress Strategy” to maintain a competitive edge over third-party delivery apps.

The Locations: A 30+ Store Urban Grid Los Angeles is one of Domino’s most critical markets, featuring a dense network of corporate-owned and franchised locations designed to keep delivery times low:

    • The “Fortress” Network: There are over 31 active Domino’s locations within the Los Angeles city limits as of early 2026. This high density is a deliberate strategy to keep delivery radiuses small and “Door-to-Door” times under 25 minutes.

    • Supply Chain Hubs: These stores are supported by major Supply Chain Centers in Southern California (such as the Ontario, CA hub), which ensure daily fresh dough and ingredient delivery to every LA storefront.

    • Tech-Forward Storefronts: Many LA locations now feature “Electric Vehicle Only” parking spots and dedicated “Pizza Theater” viewing areas where customers can watch their orders being made.
