Job Overview:
As a Cyber Security Specialist, you will implement, monitor, and optimize enterprise security tools across on-premises and cloud environments. Ensure compliance with NIST CSF, ISO 27001, and CSA standards while conducting investigations, developing vulnerability assessments, and mentoring team members in best practices. This is a full-time onsite senior role.
Responsibilities:

Implement and manage enterprise security tools, including Azure, Microsoft Defender, and Sentinel SIEM.

Conduct security incident investigations, reporting, and post-mortem analysis.

Develop and track vulnerability assessment reports using Tenable One.

Maintain up-to-date cybersecurity documentation and system security plans.

Monitor security metrics such as Azure Secure Score and report trends.

Ensure compliance with NIST CSF, ISO/IEC 27001/27002, and CSA standards.

Participate in regulatory audits and internal security reviews.

Mentor staff and collaborate with cross-functional teams on security best practices.
Deliverables:

Detailed Incident Reports and Analysis with lessons learned.

Vulnerability Assessment Reports and remediation status tracking.

Security Metrics dashboards and trend reporting.

Compliance Documentation aligned with regulatory frameworks.

Updated security artifacts: policies, SOPs, network diagrams, and system security plans.
Mandatory Qualifications & Experience:

University degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Minimum 5 years in IT security or cybersecurity operations.

Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, Defender suite, and Sentinel SIEM.

Proficiency in PowerShell, JSON, KQL, and Logic Apps.

Strong analytical skills for threat detection, forensics, and incident response.

Eligible for Government of Canada Level II (Secret) Security Clearance.
Desired Education & Certifications:

CISSP, CISM, GIAC, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate.

Prior work in critical infrastructure or nuclear/energy utilities preferred.

Familiarity with SCADA/ICS cybersecurity concerns.
Seniority Level:
Senior – typically 6+ years of experience in cyber defense and leadership with advanced toolsets.
