With global branches in Houston, Almaty, and Cebu City, JORI remains dedicated to personalized care while maintaining a significant industry presence.

Position Overview

JORI is growing! We are seeking a permanent Customs Broker to join our Canadian unit via a hybrid (for Calgary residents) or virtual work arrangement. Reporting to the Canadian Customs Manager, you will oversee a varied account portfolio, focusing on our global logistics and brokerage offerings. Your duties involve:

  • Gathering and drafting commercial legal records such as customs invoices, origin certificates, and manifest documents for processing.

  • Assisting in the generation of customs paperwork and securing shipment releases.

  • Determining duty and tariff obligations for imported goods.

  • Managing or facilitating the settlement of duties and taxes for the patron.

  • Organizing and verifying the final release and transport of all freight.

Candidate Profile

To be eligible, you require a minimum of 3 years of professional background as a Customs Broker, a documented history in trade or logistics services, and a robust foundation in account management or client support. • An optimistic perspective centered on resolving issues in high-speed settings.

  • Competency in Microsoft Office and CRM protocols.

Crucially, you possess a desire to evolve and succeed in a workplace where autonomy and accountability are prioritized over micro-management. You are a motivated troubleshooter with superior analytical skills and meticulousness.

This position is a mid-level technical role within the “Customs and Compliance” niche. The $55K ceiling is standard for the 3-year experience bracket, but the real value lies in the international portfolio and “Cargowise” exposure. Proficiency in both Canadian and U.S. entry processes makes a candidate exceptionally marketable in the North American corridor.
