Job Overview:
The Cook supports all areas of the kitchen, preparing and executing dishes to high standards while maintaining sanitation and organization. You will play a critical role in producing exceptional culinary experiences for our guests while working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Organize and prepare mise en place

  • Follow recipes to prepare soups, salads, sauces, and entrees

  • Cook meat, fish, vegetables, and other foods using various methods (grilling, sautéing, roasting, steaming)

  • Portion ingredients per standard recipes and plating guidelines

  • Maintain clean, sanitary, and organized workstations

  • Assist with prep, cutting, marinating during off-peak periods

  • Follow safe food handling and hygiene practices

  • Monitor and record storage temperatures and prevent cross-contamination

  • Report hazards or unsafe conditions per OHSA

  • Support waste reduction and environmental compliance

  • Maintain positive interactions with colleagues and guests

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Culinary education and training required

  • Food Handlers Certification; Red Seal certificate is an asset

  • 2–3 years culinary experience in food service or hospitality

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

  • Team-oriented and collaborative

  • Basic computer knowledge
