The Compliance Specialist serves as a critical guardian of the bank’s regulatory integrity. You will manage the end-to-end lifecycle of compliance cases—from initial assignment to final closure—ensuring that all Priority Banking operations adhere to “Zero Error” governance standards. By acting as a trusted advisor to Customer Relationship Officers (CROs) and Relationship Managers (RMs), you will safeguard the reputation of Emirates Islamic while ensuring a seamless service experience for the bank’s most valued clients.


Key Responsibilities

The Compliance Specialist is responsible for maintaining the bank’s rigorous governance framework:

  • Case Management & Delegation: Systematically review and assign compliance cases to district-level CROs and RMs, ensuring balanced workloads and specialized handling.

  • Operational Tracking: Maintain and oversee a “Live District Tracker” to provide real-time visibility into case statuses, bottlenecks, and resolution timelines.

  • Senior Stakeholder Approval: Critically review retention cases and prepare comprehensive dossiers for Senior Manager approval.

  • Process Escalation: Identify high-risk or complex scenarios and escalate them to the Priority Banking (PRB) support team for immediate intervention.

  • Service Excellence: Take full ownership of the compliance journey within PRB centers, ensuring that governance requirements do not compromise the “Premium” customer service experience.

  • Governance Assurance: Drive a culture of “Zero Compliance Errors” through diligent follow-ups and the timely closure of all escalations and requests.

  • Reputational Safeguarding: Employ global best practices in Islamic banking compliance to protect the bank from regulatory and reputational risks.


Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Citizenship: Must be a UAE National (Family Book holder).

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university.

  • Professional Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in compliance, governance, or risk management within the banking sector.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in case management software and data tracking tools (Advanced Excel or dedicated Compliance CRM).

  • Core Competencies: Strong attention to detail, exceptional organizational capabilities, and a professional, “Zero-Error” mindset.

  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work collaboratively with Relationship Managers and maintain a professional demeanor under pressure.
