Job Overview: Commercial Solar Analyst & AI Agent Manager

Core Renewables is a boutique renewable energy firm specializing in commercial and community-scale solar and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). Based in lower Manhattan, the company focuses on delivering sustainable energy solutions across the NY, NJ, PA, and DE markets.

This is a unique, hybrid role designed for a “Swiss Army Knife” professional—someone who can pivot between high-level financial modeling, gritty on-site project management, and cutting-edge AI development. As a member of a small, high-accountability team, you will have a direct hand in the company’s growth and the future of renewable energy infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities & Functional Areas

1. Sales Analysis & Business Development

  • Market Research: Conduct prospect research and market analysis to identify high-potential commercial and industrial clients.

  • Financial Modeling: Develop complex project financial models to demonstrate ROI and sustainability impact to stakeholders.

  • Collateral Creation: Build professional sales collateral and project proposals that translate technical data into compelling business cases.

2. Project Management & Field Execution

  • Vendor Management: Identify, vet, and manage subcontractors and equipment vendors for solar and BESS components.

  • Procurement: Oversee the sourcing and delivery of critical project equipment.

  • On-Site Oversight: While primarily desk-based, this role requires spending days or weeks on-site during construction to ensure subcontractors meet performance and scheduling standards.

3. AI Agent Development

  • AI Architecture: Build and manage the company’s first AI Agents to automate sales outreach, streamline lead qualification, and support internal business functions.

  • Operational Integration: Integrate AI tools with existing data systems to improve organizational efficiency and pattern recognition in renewable energy data.

About You: The “Extreme Accountability” Profile

Core Renewables values aptitude and drive over specific years of experience. They are looking for:

  • Self-Motivated Learners: A burning desire to become an expert in renewable energy generation, development, and construction.

  • Adaptability: The ability to shift focus monthly as company priorities evolve.

  • Proven Excellence: A track record of high achievement in previous academic or professional pursuits.

  • Core Values: A commitment to integrity, humility, and “extreme accountability.”

Position Logistics & Compensation

  • Location: Hybrid in NYC (Lower Manhattan).

    • Requirement: 2-3 days per week in-office; remaining days optional remote/office.

  • Schedule: Full-time. Expect weekend work during major project deadlines.

  • Compensation: Competitive base salary plus an incentive package (commission or performance-based bonuses are common in these growth-stage roles).

Why Join Core Renewables?

  • Hands-On Expertise: You won’t just be a number; you will be trained to become an expert in the full lifecycle of solar development—from the first financial model to the final construction punch list.

  • Innovation at the Forefront: By managing AI agents, you’ll be among the first in the industry to merge traditional renewable energy development with autonomous technology.

  • High-Impact Culture: Work in a small team where your individual effort directly correlates to the company’s success and environmental impact.

Interested candidates should apply directly to Core Renewables. Your application should emphasize not just what you have done, but your capacity for hard work and your ability to manage AI and financial data alongside physical construction projects.
