The Role

As a Barista at Café Grumpy, you are the face of our brand. You aren’t just serving coffee; you are delivering a curated experience that represents nearly two decades of Brooklyn coffee history.

• Precision Brewing: Prepare espresso and pour-over coffee to our exacting standards, ensuring every cup reflects the quality of our roasts.

• Hospitality First: Provide warm, efficient, and professional service to our Greenpoint regulars and visitors alike.

• Quality Control: Maintain a deep understanding of our current coffee offerings, flavor profiles, and origins to help educate our guests.

• Shop Stewardship: Keep the café environment pristine, organized, and welcoming.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience: Previous specialty coffee or high-volume retail experience is preferred, but a commitment to excellence is mandatory.

• Community Mindset: Someone who appreciates the history of Greenpoint and enjoys building long-term relationships with customers.

• Adaptability: Ability to stay calm and focused during the morning rush while maintaining a clean workspace.
