The role offers a stable shift pattern with significant financial rewards for commitment and excellence.
Key Responsibilities

-
Compliance: Must have the Right to Work in the UK and be willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.
-
Interpersonal Skills: A compassionate, reliable, and professional approach to one-on-one care.
-
Availability: Ability to commit to a 12-hour shift pattern (8:00–8:00) for both days and waking nights.
About the Company
Paragon Home Healthcare is a 5-star rated, nurse-led service that distinguishes itself through an ethical, staff-first approach. By prioritizing the well-being and professional development of their carers, they ensure a higher standard of compassionate care for their clients. The organization is recognized for its innovation in home care, providing 24/7 clinical support to staff and utilizing electronic systems for streamlined reporting and scheduling.
Market & Industry Context
Specialist spinal cord injury care is a highly skilled niche within the UK home care sector. Unlike general domiciliary care, SCI care focuses on Autonomic Dysreflexia awareness, pressure area care, and promoting maximum physical independence.

As the UK moves toward more personalized, “independent living” models, the role of a specialist carer (or Personal Assistant) has become vital in keeping clients out of clinical settings and in their own communities.

Joining Bonus: £250 upon successful completion of the probation period.
-
Paid Training: £150 for completed training, included in your first paycheck.
-
Holiday Pay: 150% on Bank Holidays and 200% (Double Pay) on Christmas Day.

-
The “Spinal Care” Learning Curve: Be prepared to discuss your willingness to learn clinical tasks. Paragon values “coachability”—they can teach the skill, but they look for the right heart.

-
Recording Accuracy: Be ready to explain why detailed record-keeping is vital in complex care scenarios.
