Job Overview: Care Professional (Southeast Indy)

Home Instead is hiring Care Professionals to provide non-medical, in-home support for aging adults in the Southeast Indianapolis, Beech Grove, and Southport areas. This role is focused on enhancing the lives of seniors by helping them maintain their independence and dignity within the comfort of their own homes.

Key Responsibilities & Compassionate Care

Daily Living Support

  • Companionship: Engage in meaningful conversation and provide emotional support to combat social isolation.

  • Home Management: Perform light housekeeping tasks and prepare nutritious meals tailored to client needs.

  • Wellness Checks: Provide medication reminders and assist with personal care and incontinence care with the utmost respect.

Specialized Care & Logistics

  • Alzheimer’s & Dementia Care: Utilize specialized training to support clients facing cognitive challenges.

  • Transportation: Provide essential travel to and from medical appointments, grocery runs, and social activities.

  • Safety: Ensure the home environment remains safe and navigate the unique challenges of aging with care and compassion.


Requirements & Qualifications

The Essentials

  • Experience: Must have either personal or professional caregiving experience (caring for a family member counts!).

  • Age: Must be at least 19 years old.

  • Reliability: Valid Driver’s License, current auto insurance, and a reliable vehicle are mandatory.

  • Vetting: Ability to pass a comprehensive background check, driving record review, and drug screen.
