Tasks/Activities

Perform daily transactional accounting tasks, including data entry and reconciliations

Utilizes tools and software extensively (MS Excel, MS Word, MS SharePoint, Unanet Financial System)

Learns and actively uses financial and accounting systems, gaining hands-on experience with relevant software

Assists with data analysis using Excel, including pivot tables, charts, and formulas

Assists with maintaining and organizing financial records and reports as directed

Supports month-end closing processes

Supports compliance procedures, ensuring adherence to internal policies and regulations

Reviews and ensures data accuracy

Conducts research on best practices

Reconciles bank and credit card statements accurately

About the Role
In this position, you will operate under direct supervision to execute daily transactional accounting tasks, including bank reconciliations and data entry within the Unanet Financial System. You will be responsible for supporting month-end closing processes and ensuring strict adherence to internal controls and PII/CUI security protocols. This role allows you to apply GAAP principles in a real-world setting, utilizing advanced Excel functions to analyze data and assist in maintaining the financial integrity of a highly decorated, service-disabled veteran-owned small business.
