A Barista at Dark Matter Coffee is a master of three realms: Atmosphere, Artistry, and Alchemy. #### 1. The Vibe Architect (Customer Experience)

Radical Hospitality: You make every guest feel seen, from a warm welcome upon entry to a genuine farewell as they head out.
Empathetic Service: You approach cafe operations with kindness, meeting every customer inquiry with a genuine, safe, and open attitude.
Sonic Curation: You understand that the right music defines the moment. You’ll curate tastes and “good vibes” based on the time of day and the energy of the room.

2. The Collaborative Force (Teamwork)

Reliability: You show up on time, fueled up, and ready to go with a flexible range of availability.
Anticipatory Action: You communicate openly and sense the needs of your coworkers before they even ask, adjusting to the changing tides of the cafe.

3. The Coffee Alchemist (Knowledge & Technical Skill)

Constant Curiosity: You have a natural hunger for information regarding our ever-evolving coffee portfolio.
Quality Control (QC): You’ll fill out at least one QC report per shift. You taste everything we sell—retail or bar—to expand your palate and lead discussions.
Technical Mastery: You balance the floor flow with ease—shifting between register, barback, and the espresso machine.
Precision Brewing: You maintain a high level of proficiency in handcrafted brewing methods and espresso techniques, building the consistency and confidence that DMC is known for.
