Yes, this is a local/regional position with daily routes starting and ending at the local Toronto branch.
What is the physical demand of this role?
The job is physically active, requiring the ability to lift 50+ lbs, bend, squat, and climb to secure machinery on trailers in all weather conditions.

Absolutely. Many drivers transition into Service Management, Sales, or Fleet Operations roles within 3–5 years.
Expert Analysis
The pay range for this position ($33–$49/hr) is exceptional, sitting roughly 25% above the national average for AZ drivers. Because Sunbelt operates as a private carrier for its own fleet, the pressure of “per-mile” pay is replaced by hourly stability and overtime potential. This is an elite role for an AZ driver who wants to be more than “just a steering wheel holder” and gain technical expertise in heavy machinery.
Location & Logistics Guide
The Toronto hub services the massive infrastructure projects throughout the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). Drivers must navigate high-traffic zones such as the Gardner Expressway and the 401, requiring high patience and situational awareness.
