Job Overview: Assistant, Business & Legal Affairs
FOX Entertainment is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Assistant to join their Business & Legal Affairs (B&LA) Department in Los Angeles. This role is a critical support function for the worldwide Sales department, specifically assisting the Deal and Rights Management team.
Working at FOX means being part of a legacy that includes The Simpsons, The Masked Singer, and Bob’s Burgers. As an assistant in this department, you will sit at the intersection of creativity and commerce, helping manage the complex legal frameworks that allow FOX content to be shared globally.
Key Responsibilities & Legal Administration
Deal & Rights Management

Data Extraction: Review high-level legal materials and contracts to identify and extract critical data regarding distribution rights and deal terms.

System Integration: Accurately input and track deal information into management systems (such as Rightsline and Salesforce) to ensure the sales team has real-time data.

Inquiry Research: Evaluate and answer general inquiries regarding existing agreements, ensuring internal departments understand what content can be sold and where.
Administrative Strategy

Executive Support: Provide daily administrative assistance to lawyers and B&LA team members, including managing heavy calendars and logistics for global video conferencing.

Document Control: Maintain, scan, and file digital agreements using tools like iManage and Box, ensuring all sensitive information is organized and easily retrievable.

Special Projects: Assist the Deal Management team with ad-hoc projects, identifying process improvements for tracking the company’s growing library of original content.
Requirements & Qualifications
Mandatory Criteria

Education: Bachelor’s Degree.

Experience: 1+ years of experience in an office environment as an assistant or in a support role.

Tech Savvy: Comfortable navigating various software, including Microsoft Office, Zoom, Box, iManage, Rightsline, and Salesforce.

Attendance: Must be able to work on-site a minimum of four (4) days per week in Los Angeles.
