Key Responsibilities

  • Public Speaking Instruction: Lead and manage courses specifically focused on Public Speaking, ensuring students develop high-level oral communication skills.

  • Curriculum & Service: Actively assist in curriculum development and provide meaningful service to the department, the school, and the local community.

  • Student Advising: Support and mentor students from various backgrounds, helping them navigate an international educational environment.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Education: Ph.D. in Communication (General, International, Interpersonal, or Communication Studies) or Speech (Speech Studies, Rhetoric) from a Western accredited institution.

    • Note: A degree in Speech Communication is specifically preferred.

  • Teaching Experience: Proven experience teaching Public Speaking and working with diverse student populations.

  • Specialized Expertise: Related experience in forensics, performing arts, or media is highly valued.

  • Communication Skills: Exceptional oral and written English communication skills are mandatory.

  • Professional Standing: Active professional memberships or relevant certifications in the field.
