Key Responsibilities & Daily Operations

Beverage & Food Crafting

  • Standardization: Prepare all coffee, tea, and food items according to Starbucks’ strict recipe standards or specific customer customizations (temperature, ingredients, etc.).

  • Quality Control: Ensure every product meets quality and presentation standards before it reaches the customer.

Customer Connection

  • Engagement: Discover and respond to customer needs through clear and pleasant communication.

  • Problem Solving: Handle customer concerns with a “make it right” attitude to ensure every guest leaves satisfied.

Store Maintenance & Safety

  • Cash Handling: Accurately process transactions and manage the point-of-sale (POS) system.

  • Operational Standards: Follow all health, safety, and security guidelines, including regular cleaning tasks and store “recovery” during shifts.

  • Multitasking: Be available to perform various tasks—from cleaning the lobby to stocking the pastry case—during each shift.


Requirements & Qualifications

The Basics

  • Experience: No previous experience is required. Starbucks provides comprehensive “Barista Basics” training.

  • Attendance: Must maintain regular and consistent punctuality.
