Job Overview: Cashier / Crew Member
Hardee’s is hiring for both Full-Time and Part-Time Crew Members at its Indianapolis, IN locations. This role is the backbone of the restaurant, responsible for delivering “Superstar Service” by ensuring every guest receives hot, quality food in a clean and welcoming environment.
As a Crew Member, you are often cross-trained to handle multiple stations—from the front-line cash register to the back-line food preparation. It is a fast-paced, team-oriented role that is well-suited for students, first-time job seekers, or anyone looking for a stable position with growth potential.
Key Responsibilities & Daily Operations
Guest Interaction (Front-of-House)

Service with a Smile: Greet guests immediately, take orders accurately using the Point of Sale (POS) system, and handle cash/credit transactions.

Menu Expertise: Answer questions about the menu and provide recommendations (suggestive selling) to enhance the guest experience.

Order Assembly: Package meals, including necessary condiments and sides, to ensure accuracy before delivery.
Food Preparation (Back-of-House)

Quality Control: Prepare and package menu items (like Made From Scratch™ Biscuits) according to strict brand standards.

Safety & Sanitation: Follow all food safety, handling, and sanitation requirements to ensure a healthy environment for guests and staff.
Restaurant Maintenance

Cleanliness: Maintain the dining room, beverage bar, and restrooms. Night shifts often involve a more intensive “clean-up” to prepare for the morning rush.

Stocking: Keep your assigned station organized and fully stocked with supplies.
Requirements & Physical Demands

Age: Must be at least 16 years old.

Experience: No prior experience is required; Hardee’s provides a comprehensive Crew Person Training Program.

Communication: Ability to understand and implement verbal and written instructions.
