Job Overview: Part-Time Customer Service Associate
The Hertz Corporation is seeking a high-level Part-Time Customer Service Associate for its Indianapolis, IN operations (Hertz, Dollar, and Thrifty brands). This is not a entry-level clerk position; it is a service-leadership role focused on “First Contact Resolution” and the data-driven improvement of the customer experience.
In this role, you act as the bridge between the rental counter and the management team, specifically serving as the primary liaison for Net Promoter Score (NPS) metrics. You will be responsible for resolving complex issues on the spot while coaching other staff members to meet Hertz’s global standards of hospitality.
Key Responsibilities & Experience Leadership
NPS & Analytics

NPS Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for Net Promoter Score performance, updating management on trends and performance actions.

Data Analysis: Analyze guest satisfaction results to determine the root cause of service gaps and execute improvement plans.

Performance Coaching: Provide guidance, feedback, and individual coaching to other employees to help them better understand and meet customer needs.
High-Level Resolution

Counter Operations: Handle vehicle pickups and returns with a focus on speed, professionalism, and hospitality.

Immediate Resolution: Empowered to solve customer issues “at the counter” to ensure first-contact satisfaction and prevent escalations.

Policy Compliance: Ensure all corporate procedures and safety protocols are strictly followed by the local team.
Requirements & Qualifications

Experience: 3+ years of demonstrated experience in customer service, with specific exposure to operations and sales.

Preferred Background: Prior experience in the rental car industry is a significant advantage.

Communication: Excellent oral and written communication skills for interacting with travelers and internal management.
