Job Overview: Evening and Overnight Front Desk Clerk

Delaware North Parks and Resorts is hiring a full-time Evening and Overnight Front Desk Clerk to join the team at Yavapai Hotel in Grand Canyon, Arizona. This role is perfect for a night owl with a “customer-first” mindset who wants to live and work in one of the world’s most iconic natural wonders.

As the primary point of contact during the late hours, you will be responsible for providing a seamless check-in experience, managing financial records, and ensuring guest needs are met while the rest of the park sleeps.


Key Responsibilities & Night Operations

Guest Services & Registration

  • Centralized Check-In: Greet and register arriving guests using the hotel’s centralized system, ensuring a high-quality first impression.

  • Issue Resolution: Act as a proactive problem-solver, resolving guest concerns immediately and delivering requested items to rooms as needed.

  • Inter-Departmental Sync: Coordinate closely with the housekeeping team to manage room status and guest requests.

Financial & Night Audit Duties

  • Transaction Management: Accurately process cash and credit card transactions while maintaining detailed paperwork.

  • Daily Accounting: Monitor and balance daily figures, including posting room and tax charges to guest accounts to ensure financial accuracy for the following business day.

  • Communication: Strong interpersonal skills for both in-person and telephone interactions.

  • Professionalism: The ability to multitask and remain professional under pressure from guests or supervisors.

  • Availability: Must be able to work evening and overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.

  • Mobility: Capable of bending and climbing stairs throughout an 8-hour shift.

Education & Experience

  • No high school diploma or GED required.

  • Previous customer service experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
