Job Overview: Program Administrator, Transition & Welcome
New York University (NYU) is seeking a high-energy, detail-oriented Program Administrator for Transition & Welcome. This role is essential to the first impression of the university, serving as a primary architect for the programs that help incoming students (and their families) navigate the shift into their new academic home.
You will lead the charge in creating a sense of belonging from day one, ensuring that the “NYU Welcome” is as seamless and supportive as it is exciting. This position is ideal for someone who balances strong logistical skills with a genuine passion for student success and high-level customer service.
Key Responsibilities & Strategic Impact
Transition Programming & Leadership

Program Development: Design and implement strategic initiatives that support the successful integration of new students into the NYU community.

Activity Coordination: Initiate and lead large-scale activities related to student transition, ensuring all logistical details are executed with precision.

Continuous Improvement: Assess the effectiveness of welcome programs and iterate based on student and family feedback.
Family & Stakeholder Engagement

Family Support: Act as a primary resource for parents and guardians, providing them with the information and support they need to assist their students’ transition.

Information Architecture: Ensure that transition-related communications are clear, timely, and accessible to a global audience.

Requirements & Qualifications
Mandatory Credentials

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.

Experience: Minimum of two years of professional experience in customer service, student affairs, or higher education administration.
