Job Overview: Associate Director, Undergraduate Admissions and Access
New York University (NYU) is seeking a high-energy, mission-driven leader to serve as the Associate Director of Undergraduate Admissions and Access. Key Responsibilities & Strategic Leadership
Strategy & Recruitment Oversight

Strategic Development: Design and implement undergraduate admissions strategies that align with NYU’s mission of diversity and inclusive excellence.

Pipeline Building: Develop and maintain strong partnerships with high schools, community-based organizations (CBOs), and external partners to enhance outreach to diverse student populations.

Enrollment Goals: Oversee the recruitment of talented students from underrepresented communities, ensuring a seamless and fair admissions process.
Team Leadership & Advocacy

Staff Supervision: Lead and mentor a team of admissions counselors and support staff, fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment for both the team and prospective families.

Public Representation: Act as a university ambassador at recruitment events and national conferences, advocating for NYU’s commitment to equity and access.

Resource Management: Develop and manage admissions and access budgets, ensuring the efficient use of resources to maximize impact.
Data-Driven Decision Making & Compliance

Analytics: Analyze recruitment data and enrollment metrics to track progress and make data-informed adjustments to admissions strategies.

Financial Collaboration: Work closely with the Financial Aid and Scholarship offices to address and mitigate financial barriers for low-income and underrepresented students.

Policy & Compliance: Stay informed of changing state and federal laws related to admissions and access, ensuring all university processes remain in full compliance.
