Key Responsibilities & Strategic Oversight

Resource & Service Management

System Oversight: Manage all academic support services and library resources, ensuring they are accessible and high-quality.
Strategy Development: Implement new strategies to enhance the efficiency of tutoring, research assistance, and digital library tools.
Budgetary Control: Oversee the department’s budget and allocate resources effectively to meet student and faculty demands.
Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and refine administrative procedures to provide the highest level of service.

Leadership & Collaboration

Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and supervise a dedicated team of support staff, fostering a culture of excellence and student-centered service.
Stakeholder Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact between the university administration and students/faculty regarding library and support needs.
Cross-Departmental Integration: Work with other university units to weave academic support into the broader student experience and campus life.
External Partnerships: Develop and maintain relationships with outside organizations to expand the breadth of available student resources.

Advocacy & Assessment

Outreach: Proactively communicate with the student body to raise awareness of available resources and academic tools.
Impact Evaluation: Develop and implement assessment measures to track the success and impact of these services on student GPA and retention.
Trend Monitoring: Stay current on global trends and best practices in library science and academic coaching to keep NYU’s offerings competitive.
