Key Responsibilities

  • Framework Implementation: Support and improve the University’s Data Governance Framework, serving as the go-to expert for its practical application.

  • Data Quality Casework: Investigate data issues alongside Data Owners and Stewards, tracking resolutions and maintaining a comprehensive quality issues log.

  • Reporting & Analytics: Develop and maintain exception and error reporting, primarily using Power BI and SQL to provide visibility into data trends.

  • Stakeholder Guidance: Provide tools, practical support, and clear documentation to help operational teams meet their governance responsibilities.

  • Culture Advocacy: Champion data integrity standards across the organization, promoting the importance of high-quality data to non-technical colleagues.

  • Strategic Input: Provide regular assurance updates and materials to governance groups and strategy working sessions.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Experience: Proven background in a data, information governance, or reporting role.

  • Technical Proficiency: Comfortable using SQL for data interrogation and Power BI for creating actionable quality dashboards.

  • Communication: Ability to explain complex data standards and expectations to a wide variety of stakeholders clearly and persuasively.
