Job Summary: Receptionist / Bartender (Crew Member)
Hotel Co 51 is recruiting “Crew Members” for the Moxy Edinburgh Airport (EDI). This is a non-traditional hospitality role that blends front desk operations with bar service. This position is a Casual Contract, offering a competitive hourly rate and a specific daily allowance to help with the cost of getting to the airport.
Key Responsibilities

-
The Moxy Check-In: Welcome guests at the bar, process their check-in/out, and manage room inventory while maintaining a high-energy, social vibe.

-
Guest Experience: Act as a local expert for travelers, helping them navigate the hotel and the airport area.
2. Operations & Teamwork
-
Energy Management: Use your personality to create positive experiences; Moxy prioritizes “energy” and “being a people person” over rigid corporate protocols.
-
Communication: Maintain fluent English (written and verbal) to coordinate with the team and assist international travelers.

Marriott Bonvoy: You will be representing a brand that is part of a world-renowned travel program, meaning many guests will be “Elite” status members with high expectations for service.
Application Tip: “Personality First”
Moxy isn’t looking for a “traditional” hotel receptionist. They want a “Crew Member” who can hold a conversation.
-
Ditch the Script: In your interview, show your real personality. They are looking for “originality” and “nonconformity.”
-
The “Commute” Conversation: Since they offer a £4 commute allowance, it’s clear they value reliability. Mention your plan for getting to the airport (e.g., the Edinburgh Tram or Airlink bus).
-
Cross-Training: Highlight any experience you have in either bar work or reception. If you have both, you are the ideal candidate for this hybrid role.
Next Steps: You’ve recently looked at Enterprise Mobility and Moxy, both at Edinburgh Airport.
