Website Hotel Co 51
Job Summary: Night Manager (MOXY London Heathrow)
Hotel Co 51 is seeking a high-energy, “playful” leader to head the night operations at MOXY London Heathrow Airport. As Night Manager, you are the guardian of the hotel during the late hours, ensuring that the MOXY vibe—fun, stylish, and non-traditional—is maintained while managing the critical financial and administrative “Night Audit” processes.
This isn’t a typical “behind-the-desk” role; at MOXY, check-in happens at the bar, and you are expected to be a natural host who leads with a smile and a “Play On” attitude.
Key Responsibilities
1. Leadership & Team Management
-
Night Team Oversight: Lead, motivate, and mentor the Night Receptionists and Auditors.
-
Accountability: Report directly to the Front Office Manager and take full responsibility for the hotel’s front-of-house operations during the night.
-
Supervision: Ensure all supervisor shift checklists are completed accurately and the team remains focused on the guest experience.
2. Guest Experience & Front Office
-
The MOXY Welcome: Oversee arrivals and departures, providing a personal and friendly service that breaks the rules of conventional hotel stays.
-
Concierge & Requests: Act as the primary point of contact for all guest requests, from local recommendations to troubleshooting room issues.
-
24/7 Operations: Maintain high service standards throughout the night, ensuring the social spaces (Lounge, Library, Bar) remain welcoming.
3. Technical & Audit Duties
-
Opera PMS: Utilize Opera (Property Management System) to manage bookings, guest data, and the end-of-day financial audit.
-
Technology: Troubleshoot basic tech issues and ensure the night audit is completed to Marriott’s global standards.
Role Details & Benefits
-
Location: MOXY London Heathrow Airport (Hounslow).
-
Contract: Full-time.
-
Salary: Competitive (Gross annual).
-
Benefits: * Global Discounts: Discounted room rates and F&B at 7,500+ Marriott hotels worldwide for you, friends, and family.
-
Health & Wellness: Health Cash Plan and 24/7 support.
-
Leave: 28 days holiday (increasing to 32 over time) + Enhanced Maternity/Paternity/Adoption pay.
-
Growth: Dedicated training and development opportunities within a fast-growing European operator.
-
Candidate Requirements
Experience & Skills:
-
Background: Minimum 1 year in a supervisory role, ideally with prior experience as a Night Receptionist or Supervisor.
-
Technical: Proficiency in Opera PMS is a must.
-
Leadership: A “natural leader” with an inspiring energy and a positive, flexible approach.
-
Communication: Fluent in English (written and verbal); a second language is a significant advantage.
-
Detail Oriented: An “eye for detail” where “only the best is good enough.”
The MOXY Identity: “Play On”
MOXY is part of the Marriott Bonvoy portfolio but targets the “young at heart” with an industrial, sociable design.
-
Non-Traditional: No stuffy uniforms or rigid protocols. It’s about being authentic.
-
The Bar is the Hub: Guests check in at the bar and receive a complimentary “Got Moxy” cocktail.
-
Smart Spaces: Bedrooms are “small but smart,” focusing on high-quality basics (great beds, fast Wi-Fi) so guests spend more time in social areas.
Why this Role is a Great Career Move
-
European Expansion: Hotel Co 51 is expanding rapidly across 8 countries. Success at Heathrow can lead to opportunities in Amsterdam, Paris, Berlin, or beyond.
-
Marriott Global Reach: Being part of the Marriott ecosystem means your training and experience are recognized at thousands of luxury and lifestyle hotels globally.
-
The “Night” Advantage: Night Management is often the fastest route to a Front Office Manager or Assistant General Manager position, as you gain experience in managing the entire property autonomously.
Application Tip: Show Your “Energy”
MOXY recruiters aren’t looking for a “robot” manager.
-
Personality First: In your application, don’t just list tasks. Talk about how you handle difficult guests with a smile or how you motivate a team at 3:00 AM.
-
Opera Expertise: Since Opera is specifically mentioned, highlight your familiarity with Night Audit procedures (rolling the business day, balancing accounts) to show you can handle the “boring but critical” parts of the job.
-
The Heathrow Factor: Mention your ability to handle the unique “flow” of an airport hotel—where guests might arrive stressed from a long flight and need a quick, seamless, and friendly check-in.
Hotel Co 51 is a dynamic, fast-growing hotel operations company that serves as one of the largest franchisees of Marriott International in Europe. Founded in 2020 and headquartered in Amsterdam, the company has its primary UK corporate base in Hounslow (804-834 Bath Road, TW5 9UH). As the designated operator for the vast majority of Moxy Hotels in the UK, as well as select Courtyard, Residence Inn, and AC Hotels, Hotel Co 51 is a major force in the “select-service” hospitality market.
Strategy and 2026 Context
In late 2025 and early 2026, the company entered a significant strategic phase. Its parent company, Vastint (an international real estate organization), launched a £500 million sale of its UK Marriott-branded portfolio. While the ownership of the properties is transitioning, Hotel Co 51 remains the established “in-house” operational platform, known for its high-tech, modular construction approach and exceptional sustainability credentials.
Culture and Philosophy
The company’s identity is built on a “people-centered and sustainable” philosophy, aiming to break the rules of conventional hospitality.
-
“Play On”: Particularly for the Moxy brand, the culture is playful, high-energy, and non-traditional. There are no stiff uniforms; staff are “Crew Members,” and the check-in desk is often the hotel bar.
-
Flat Hierarchy: The organization promotes a flat structure over strict bureaucracy, encouraging individuals at all levels to make a visible impact on the guest experience.
-
The “Ripple Effect”: Their mission is to create “feel-good” experiences for guests that naturally pass on positivity to their communities and colleagues.

Green Energy: The company has transitioned almost its entire portfolio to green power, reducing CO2 utility consumption by at least 75% per hotel.
-
Certifications: Many of their UK hotels, including Moxy London Heathrow Airport (located right next to their Hounslow office), hold LEED Gold or Platinum status.
