This is a permanent role within a high-performing, collaborative team where technical accuracy and client service are the top priorities. You will take a lead role in the oversight and production of Net Asset Values (NAVs), ensuring that all funds are managed in accordance with strict regulatory standards and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Key Responsibilities

  • NAV Oversight: Lead the calculation and rigorous review of daily Net Asset Values for a diverse portfolio of client funds.

  • Quality Control: Review the work of junior team members to ensure accuracy and adherence to accounting standards.

Desirable:

  • Qualifications: Part-qualified or fully qualified in a recognized accounting body such as ACCA, ICAS, or CIMA.

  • Reporting Skills: Strong background in financial reporting and a deep understanding of fund structures.

  • Basis: Permanent, Full-time.

  • Culture: A collaborative, “hard work is recognized” environment with an immediate start available for the right candidate.

The Fund Accounting Lifecycle

In a senior capacity, you are responsible for the integrity of the “Daily Strike.” Your role ensures that the valuation reflects a true and fair view of the fund’s assets.

Application Tip: Highlight your “Review” Capabilities

When applying through Meraki Talent, differentiate yourself by focusing on your oversight experience:

  1. Error Detection: Give a specific example of a discrepancy you identified during a NAV review and how you resolved it with the client.

  2. Process Improvement: Mention any experience you have in refining NAV workflows to improve speed or accuracy—this demonstrates the “Senior” mindset the client is looking for.

  3. Audit Success: Highlight your experience in managing auditor requests, as this is a critical part of the senior-level reporting cycle.
