Job Overview: Call Center / Customer Support Executive

Trigyn Technologies is recruiting for a Customer Service Executive to support a direct government client on-site in Long Island City, NY. This is a high-responsibility role within the public sector, requiring a blend of empathetic phone support, technical research, and strong written communication skills.

This position is ideal for individuals who are organized, comfortable navigating complex databases, and dedicated to serving the diverse community of New York City.


Key Responsibilities & Operational Support

Inquiry Management & Translation

  • Active Call Handling: Answer a high volume of incoming calls, utilizing the Language Line to facilitate communication for callers requiring translation services.

  • Intake & Submission: Listen to, clarify, and confirm customer concerns. Accurately submit complaints or relevant work order numbers into an online portal.

  • Smart Transfers: Identify maintenance-related requests and transfer callers to the appropriate contact center representatives or provide alternative options for non-departmental inquiries.

Communication & Clerical Oversight

  • Correspondence Assessment: Review written inquiries and emails to determine which issues require immediate management intervention or priority attention.

  • Data Research: Utilize computer databases and spreadsheets to research information needed to provide accurate responses to complex inquiries.

  • Administrative Support: Perform essential clerical tasks and provide technical computer support to ensure the office runs smoothly.


Qualifications & Requirements

Educational & Experience Pathways

  • Option 1: A Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university.

  • Option 2: An Associate degree plus 2 years of full-time customer service/help desk experience.

  • Option 3: A High School diploma plus 4 years of relevant full-time experience.

  • Government Substitution: One year of NYC government work experience can be substituted for two years of standard experience.

Essential Skills

  • Technical Literacy: Experience with various computer programs, including online forms, portals, and database management.

  • Communication Excellence: Strong oral and written communication skills (Note: A writing sample may be required during the interview process).

  • Adaptability: The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a group environment.


Position Logistics

  • Location: Long Island City, NY (On-site).

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm.
