Job Description

Do you have a passion for public service and a talent for making people smile, even during a busy commute? P-Serv is seeking a Frontline Service Officer to join Singapore’s vital transport network. We aren’t just moving people; we are keeping the city’s heart beating. If you have the “grit” to handle a 12-hour shift and the “wit” to solve commuter problems on the fly, we want you on the frontline.

In this role, you are an essential “Navigator.” You understand that for a commuter, a little bit of help goes a long way. Whether you are assisting someone with a fare issue or ensuring a station runs smoothly during peak hours, your presence provides a sense of security and efficiency. We look for “Integrity-first” individuals who take pride in their work—those who are as careful with cash reconciliation as they are with helping a lost traveler.

Joining this team means joining a critical infrastructure partner that values your dedication. We offer a competitive gross salary with performance-based incentives and the convenience of company-provided transport to our Tuas location. We provide a structured, supportive environment where your positive attitude is recognized and rewarded. If you are a self-motivated professional with a positive vibe and a commitment to excellence, we invite you to apply and help keep Singapore moving.

Consortium for Clinical Research and Innovation, Singapore (CRIS) | Global Research Context

It is important to clarify that the Consortium for Clinical Research and Innovation, Singapore (CRIS) is a national-level organization based exclusively in Singapore. It does not maintain a physical office or “Calgary branch.” CRIS was established by the Singapore Ministry of Health (MOH) to oversee and synergize national clinical research programs.

The association with Calgary typically arises through bilateral research partnerships and international co-innovation calls between the governments of Canada and Singapore.

Organization Nature: National Research Stewardship

CRIS acts as an umbrella organization for several high-impact national programs. Its culture is one of “Scientific Synergy” and “National Translation.”

  • Unity of Mission: CRIS was created to bring various R&D and clinical translation initiatives under “one roof” to ensure they are aligned with national healthcare needs.

  • Cutting-Edge Innovation: The organization focuses on future-ready healthcare, prioritizing areas like precision medicine, cell therapy, and AI-driven clinical trials.

  • Global Collaboration: While based in Singapore, CRIS is a primary point of contact for international entities (including those in Calgary’s life sciences sector) looking to engage with Singapore’s clinical trial ecosystem.

Regional Partnerships: Singapore & Calgary (Canada)

While CRIS is headquartered at 23 Rochester Park, Singapore, it interacts with the Calgary and Canadian research community through structured international programs:

  • Eureka Network Projects (2025-2026): Canada and Singapore have launched joint calls for R&D projects. These require a consortium involving at least one Canadian SME and one Singaporean company. CRIS programs (like the Singapore Clinical Research Institute) often provide the infrastructure for the Singaporean side of these partnerships.

  • Life Sciences Missions: In 2025, organizations like Deep Tech Canada (which represents many Alberta-based tech firms) led innovation missions to Singapore. These missions involve meetings with CRIS-associated hubs like ACTRIS (cell therapy) and STCC (cancer research) to foster cross-border clinical trials.

  • Trade Commissioner Service: The High Commission of Canada in Singapore facilitates these links, connecting Calgary-based biotech and healthcare firms with CRIS programs for market entry and research validation in Asia.

Key CRIS Programmes (Singapore-Based)

Programme Focus Area
SCRI (Singapore Clinical Research Institute) National academic clinical research organization (CRO).
ACTRIS (Advanced Cell Therapy & Research) Advancing cell and gene therapy manufacturing and clinical use.
PRECISE (Precision Health Research) Implementing Singapore’s National Precision Medicine strategy.
STCC (Singapore Translational Cancer Consortium) Synergizing cancer research and clinical trials across Singapore.
CADENCE (Cardiovascular Disease National Ent.) National collaborative enterprise for cardiovascular research.

Opportunities for Calgary-Based Entities

For organizations in Calgary’s growing life sciences and health-tech sectors (such as those centered around the University of Calgary or Life Sciences Innovation Hub), engagement with CRIS usually occurs in the following ways:

  • Joint R&D Funding: Applying for the NRC IRAP (Canada) and Enterprise Singapore co-innovation grants for medical technology development.

  • Clinical Trial Expansion: Leveraging CRIS-managed clinical trial sites in Singapore to conduct multi-ethnic clinical studies that complement Canadian data.

  • Regulatory Knowledge Exchange: Participating in forums (like the International Medical Device Regulators Forum) where CRIS and Canadian regulators share best practices for AI and precision medicine.
