Job Overview: Junior Account Executive / Catering Sales

CULINAIRE-Inspired Cuisine and Events is looking for a motivated and experienced Junior Account Executive to join their catering sales team in Houston. This role is focused on the high-energy world of offsite catering, requiring a blend of sales hunger and logistical expertise.

You will be responsible for hunting new business and managing high-level events—from weddings and galas to corporate tented functions—supported by a strong in-office production team.

Key Responsibilities & Sales Focus

Business Development

• Lead Generation: Proactively identify and target new sales leads through prospecting and networking within the Houston event industry.

• Relationship Management: Build and nurture long-term relationships with corporate clients, wedding planners, and local venues.

• Goal Orientation: Execute a structured sales process to meet and exceed established revenue targets.

Event Logistics & Planning

• Offsite Expertise: Demonstrate a deep understanding of offsite logistics, including working with various venues, temporary structures (tenting), and complex rental requirements.

• Client Solutions: Consult with prospective clients to understand their vision and budget, offering tailored culinary and event solutions.

• Resource Allocation: Efficiently budget and allocate resources to maximize event outcomes and maintain profitability.

Qualifications & Requirements

Professional Background

• Education: Bachelor’s degree is required.

• Experience: Previous experience managing a “book of business” and a proven track record in sales.

• Industry Knowledge: Specific experience in offsite catering logistics is highly preferred.

Core Competencies

• Communication: Exceptional verbal and written skills for client presentations and internal coordination.

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and experience using CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software to track leads.
