Job Summary: Clinical Assessor (PIP / WCA)

Key Responsibilities

• Clinical Consultations: Conduct thorough assessments with claimants (via telephone or face-to-face) to understand how their health conditions impact their daily lives or work capabilities.

• Evidence Analysis: Review complex medical records, health questionnaires, and supporting evidence to form a comprehensive clinical picture.

• Report Writing: Compile objective, evidence-based reports for the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) to aid in their decision-making process.

• Quality Standards: Adhere to strict DWP guidelines and maintain high standards of clinical accuracy and professional integrity.

Requirements

• Professional Registration: Must have at least 1 year of active registration with the NMC or HCPC.

• Clinical Experience: Minimum of 1 year post-registration experience in a relevant adult clinical setting.

• Qualifications: Open to Registered Adult Nurses (RGN, RMN, RNLD), Occupational Therapists, Paramedics, Physiotherapists, and Pharmacists.

• Technical Skills: Strong IT proficiency and the ability to type and compile detailed reports efficiently.

• Right to Work: Must have the legal right to work in the UK (sponsorship is not available).

Salary and Benefits

• Competitive Salary: Starting salary of £37,500 – £42,000, with guaranteed £1,000 increases at 6 and 12 months.
