Job Summary: Disability Assessor (PIP / WCA)

Everpool Recruitment is seeking dedicated healthcare professionals—including Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Paramedics, and Pharmacists—to join our team as Disability Assessors in Luton. You will play a crucial role in evaluating claimants’ health conditions and work capabilities to produce high-quality, objective reports for the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).


Key Responsibilities

  • Clinical Assessment: Conduct professional assessments (via phone and face-to-face) to evaluate how health conditions impact daily living or work capabilities.

  • Evidence Analysis: Meticulously review medical evidence, health questionnaires, and professional records.

  • Report Compilation: Produce detailed, objective reports for the DWP, documenting claimant challenges and providing evidence-based recommendations.

  • Professional Engagement: Conduct interviews with sensitivity, understanding, and clinical rigor.

Requirements

  • Clinical Qualification: Must be a Registered Adult Nurse (any branch), Occupational Therapist, Paramedic, Physiotherapist, or Pharmacist with an adult-focused background.

  • Registration: Minimum of 1 year of recent, active registration with the NMC or HCPC.

  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of recent post-registration experience in an adult clinical setting.

  • Essential Skills: Excellent communication, proficient typing and report-writing skills, and high IT competency.

  • Eligibility: Right to work in the UK is required (sponsorship is not available).

Salary and Benefits

  • Starting Salary: £37,500 – £42,000, with guaranteed £1,000 increases after 6 and 12 months.

  • Bonus: Up to 10% performance and quality-based bonus.

  • Work-Life Balance: Guaranteed 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM hours with no nights, weekends, or bank holidays.
