Job Overview: Patient Engagement Advocate (Temp-to-Perm)
Ivy Rehab Network is looking for a talented Patient Engagement Advocate for a 90-day temporary assignment with a high potential to transition into a permanent role. In this remote position, you will act as the first point of contact for patients seeking physical, occupational, and speech therapy, as well as ABA services.
This is a high-empathy, results-driven role where you’ll manage multiple communication channels (phone, email, chat) to ensure patients get the care they need while supporting local clinics across the Ivy Rehab network.
Key Responsibilities & Daily Tasks
Patient Care & Scheduling

Inquiry Conversion: Effectively listen to patient needs and convert inquiries into booked appointments while maintaining high satisfaction scores.

Empathetic Engagement: Provide a caring, reassuring presence for patients who may be in pain or anxious.

Alternative Solutions: Proactively offer appointments at nearby clinics if a patient’s preferred location has limited availability.

Financial Guidance: Educate patients on insurance coverage and available financing or payment plan options.
Operations & Technology

Multi-Channel Support: Manage interactions via inbound/outbound calls, email, and live chat.

Data Accuracy: Follow protocols for capturing patient information and accurately categorizing interactions to aid in data analysis and service improvement.

Local Experience: Use internal knowledge bases to provide “local” details, such as pinpoint directions or specific provider information, to make the patient feel connected to their clinic.
Qualifications & Requirements
Professional Experience

Customer Support: Minimum 2–3 years of experience in customer support.

Call Center: At least 1 year of experience in an inbound contact center environment.

Sales Focus: 1–2 years in a sales-oriented role (telesales or call center sales preferred).

Tenure: Demonstrated history of staying at previous positions for at least 2–3 years.
Technical & Physical Needs

Home Office: Must have a dedicated, quiet workspace with a door.

Internet Speeds: Minimum 150 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload; Latency <30 ms.

Typing Aptitude: Preferred speed of 50–70 WPM.

Education: High School Diploma/GED required; College degree preferred.
Schedule & Compensation

Assignment: Temporary (90 days) with an opportunity to become permanent.

Hours: Full-time (40 hours per week).

Availability: Must be available Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM EST.
