EXECUTIVE PERSONNEL SERVICES INC (EPSI Worx) is seeking skilled Carpenters for construction and renovation projects across the Houston metro area. This role is focused on high-quality craftsmanship, involving the construction, repair, and installation of various wooden structures.

As a Carpenter with EPSI Worx, you will work as part of a professional team to bring blueprints to life while adhering to strict safety and building code standards.

Key Responsibilities & Daily Tasks

Fabrication & Installation

Material Work: Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood, plywood, and other materials with high precision.
Structural Fixtures: Install and repair a wide variety of components including windows, doors, cabinets, staircases, and furniture.
Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret sketches, construction plans, and blueprints to ensure all work meets project specifications.

Safety & Tool Management

Equipment Proficiency: Expertly use hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery while following all OSHA safety precautions.
Maintenance: Inspect tools and machinery for malfunctions or damage, ensuring everything is in safe working order.
Compliance: Follow local building codes and regulations to ensure a safe and compliant working environment.

Planning & Collaboration

Estimation: Determine necessary materials (lumber, fasteners, adhesives) and estimate costs based on project needs.
Teamwork: Coordinate with project managers and architects to establish timelines and ensure the accurate implementation of plans.

Qualifications & Skills

Experience & Education

Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Training: Completion of a vocational or apprenticeship program in carpentry is highly preferred.
Proven Track Record: Professional experience as a Carpenter with demonstrated proficiency in modern carpentry techniques.

Technical & Physical Competencies

Mathematics: Excellent mathematical skills for performing precise measurements and complex calculations.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of woodworking tools, equipment, and building materials.
Stamina: Physical strength to lift heavy materials and the stamina to stand or perform labor for extended periods.
Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and a commitment to high-quality craftsmanship and detail.
