Job Overview: Specialty Pipefitter/Rigger (Full-Time)

Key Responsibilities & Technical Tasks
Piping Fabrication & Installation

Blueprint Proficiency: Read and interpret isometric drawings (ISO’s), P&ID’s, and orthographic drawings to fabricate and install piping systems without errors.

Precision Work: Take accurate measurements, bevel pipe (manually or by machine), and position/clamp components for welding.

Technical Assembly: Assemble and secure pipes, tubes, and fittings according to specifications using welding and threading techniques.

System Maintenance: Advanced handling of flange isolations, including blinding, opening, modification, and repair.
Rigging & Equipment Operation

Rigging: Manually handle and securely apply rigging equipment for heavy lifts.

Crane Support: Perform crane signaling and flagging to assist in the extraction or installation of heavy industrial equipment.

Tool Operation: Proficiently use beveling machines, magnetic drills, oxygen-acetylene torches, cut-off grinders, and Saw-Zalls.

Specialty Extraction: Perform burner and furnace/reformer tube extraction and installation.
Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Qualifications

Experience: At least 2–3 years of journeyman-level pipefitter/rigger experience.

Technical Literacy: Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to identify and install piping correctly.

Compliance: Must have a current TWIC Card (or the ability to obtain one) and pass a background check and drug test.

Physicality: Must meet all physical requirements for a heavy industrial work environment.
What Will Put You Ahead (Preferred)

Senior Experience: 10+ years of journeyman experience.

Specialized Skills: 2–3 years of experience in furnace/reformer tube replacement or operating a tugger beam tube extractor.

Certifications: Successful completion of NCCER craft assessment for Pipefitting or Rigging.

Safety Training: Basic Plus Orientation and Confined Space Training.
