Key Responsibilities

• Linguistic Facilitation: Provide accurate and impartial interpretation between Punjabi (Pakistani) speakers and English-speaking service providers.

• Service Versatility: Deliver services across diverse settings, including medical appointments, legal proceedings, council meetings, and educational consultations.

• Mode of Delivery: Conduct interpreting assignments both in-person and via remote platforms as required by the client.

• Professionalism: Maintain strict confidentiality, impartiality, and professional etiquette in alignment with industry standards.

Requirements

• Experience: Candidates should be experienced in professional interpretation.

• Certifications: Ideally, applicants should hold membership or qualifications such as:

  • National Register of Public Service Interpreters (NRPSI)

  • Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI)

  • Chartered Institute of Linguists (CIOL)

  • Institute of Translation and Interpreting (ITI)

• Mandatory Documentation: * Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance.

  • Valid proof of ID and current address.

  • Relevant educational qualifications.

  • Two professional references.

  • An up-to-date CV.
