We are seeking a commercially driven and operationally focused Engineering Stores and Procurement Account Manager to join a leading industrial supply and distribution organization. In this unique, standalone on-site role based in Luton, you will act as the primary point of contact for a major manufacturing client. You will be embedded within their facility, taking full ownership of purchasing, supply chain logistics, and stock control for industrial products. This is a high-visibility position that requires a blend of relationship management, commercial acumen, and hands-on operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• On-Site Management: Serve as the dedicated lead at the client site, acting as the main interface between the supplier and the customer’s procurement and engineering departments.

• Procurement & Supply: Manage the end-to-end purchasing process for industrial goods, ensuring all supplies align with the client’s production priorities.

• Inventory Control: Take responsibility for the maintenance and replenishment of on-site stock, including the organization and monitoring of storage systems.

• Operational Efficiency: Proactively identify and implement improvements to service delivery, stock management, and overall commercial performance.

• Relationship Management: Build and nurture strong working partnerships with key stakeholders to ensure long-term account success.

Requirements

• Experience: Proven experience within manufacturing, engineering, or industrial supply environments. A background in B2B sales, supply chain, or trade counter operations is highly advantageous.

• Skills: Strong stakeholder management capabilities with a highly customer-focused approach.

• Competencies: Commercially astute, with the ability to manage budgets, control spend, and optimize operational efficiencies.

• Environment: Ability to work independently in a standalone, site-based role; must be comfortable working in a factory setting that involves significant physical movement and walking.

• Essential Criteria: * Unrestricted Right to Work in the UK.

  • 3 years of verifiable UK address history.

  • Fluent English language skills.

Salary and Benefits

• Base Salary: £43,000 per annum.

• Bonus: Quarterly bonus scheme (typically £6,000 per annum).

• Vehicle: £6,000 car allowance OR a company car (choices include VW, BMW, Audi, or Mercedes).

• Leave: 24 days of annual holiday.

• Contract: Full-time, Permanent.
