We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to provide high-quality care to adults with complex disabilities within a college and day service setting in Luton. Your primary mission is to promote the independence, dignity, and wellbeing of the individuals we support. You will play a crucial role in facilitating their participation in educational and social programs while assisting with essential daily living tasks and personal care.

Key Responsibilities

• Personal Care and Health Support:

  • Deliver respectful personal care while upholding the privacy and dignity of each individual.

  • Assist with nutritional needs, ensuring safe swallowing guidelines and dietary requirements are met.

  • Manage the administration of medication according to formal care plans and strict organizational safety policies.

  • Act as a vigilant observer of individual health, promptly reporting any concerns to senior management.

• Mobility and Physical Support:

  • Utilize specialized equipment, including hoists and slings, strictly following established moving and handling safety protocols.

  • Provide physical support to ensure individuals navigate the college and day service environment safely.

• Daily Activities and Education:

  • Empower individuals to engage fully in social programs and educational opportunities tailored to their interests and goals.
