Job Overview: Relationship Banker (Injaz – Loan DST)

This is a high-energy, sales-focused role within Mashreq’s Direct Sales Team (DST). As part of the Injaz program—Mashreq’s dedicated initiative for high-performance retail growth—you will be responsible for the end-to-end acquisition of new-to-bank customers and the expansion of the personal banking portfolio. This role is “outbound” in nature, requiring you to proactively hunt for prospects through phone calls, kiosks, and face-to-face meetings to sell products like Personal Loans, Credit Cards, and Salary Transfer Accounts. You are the “Growth Engine” of the retail division, responsible for turning leads into loyal Mashreq clients.

Key Result Areas

You will own the “Conversion Pipeline” for Mashreq’s retail products:

  • Sales Execution: Achieving aggressive monthly sales targets across the financial year by presenting and selling personal banking products in a professional, ethical manner.

  • Proactive Prospecting: Conducting high-volume outbound activity, including cold calling and direct face-to-face visits within targeted segments.

  • Portfolio Management: Managing a portfolio of “approved companies” by developing key contacts within HR and Finance departments to facilitate payroll transfers and group loan schemes.

  • Micro-Marketing: Organizing and executing direct marketing activities, such as setting up kiosks in corporate offices or malls to capture leads.

  • Compliance & Adherence: Ensuring strict adherence to KYC (Know Your Customer), FATCA, AML (Anti-Money Laundering), and CTF policies for every application submitted.

  • Operations & TAT: Ensuring that the “Turnaround Time” (TAT) for all customer applications is met, maintaining quality adherence to bank guidelines to ensure a smooth onboarding experience.

Candidate Requirements

Mashreq seeks a “High-Impact” sales professional with strong local market knowledge:

  • Experience: Previous experience in Direct Sales (DST) or Relationship Management within the UAE banking sector is highly preferred.

  • Product Knowledge: Deep understanding of personal finance products, specifically Personal Loans and Salary Transfer benefits.

  • Sales Grit: Proven ability to handle objections, negotiate terms, and close deals under pressure in a target-driven environment.

  • Compliance Awareness: Strong familiarity with UAE Central Bank regulations and internal bank policies regarding risk and documentation.

  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with a “customer-first” attitude; fluency in English is required, and Arabic is often a significant competitive advantage in this segment.

  • System Proficiency: Comfortable using CRM tools and Daily Sales Reports (DSR) to track leads and performance.
