The Manager, Field Talent Development at Co-operators is a strategic leadership role focused on the “path to proficiency” for new financial advisors. Based in Moncton under a hybrid work model, you will lead a team of Field Talent Development Consultants to ensure that advisor trainees are successfully onboarded, developed, and transitioned into full contracting. This role is the bridge between learning theory and field execution, requiring a leader who can interpret performance trends to evolve training curriculum while managing the complex lifecycle of new talent in a resilient, co-operative financial environment.

Core Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Lead, develop, and inspire the Field Talent Development Consultant team, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality coaching across sales and agency operations.

  • Advisor Onboarding: Oversee the end-to-end trainee lifecycle (A1T to new advisor), ensuring a smooth, structured transition from initial training to stable performance post-contracting.

  • Performance Analytics: Analyze sales and operational metrics to identify development gaps and inform program enhancements.

  • Strategic Collaboration: Partner with Retail Sales Learning, Practice Management, and Product Consulting teams to evolve enablement tools and workshops.

  • Risk Management: Proactively address trainee underperformance through corrective action plans and interventions to ensure business viability.

  • Strategy Execution: Develop and implement long-term talent strategies that align with the co-operative’s goal of building a resilient society.

Candidate Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.

    • Assets: CTMP (Certified Talent Management Practitioner) or CTDP (Certified Training & Development Professional) designations.

  • Experience: 6 to 9 years in the insurance or financial services industry.

  • Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of the advisor development ecosystem, including contracting requirements and early-stage business viability.

  • Soft Skills: Strong leadership, relationship-building, and influence skills to navigate sensitive performance discussions and align cross-functional partners.

  • Language: Fluency in English is required; French is considered a strong asset for the Moncton market.
