Core Responsibilities

Vigilant Observation: Conduct periodic patrols (on foot or in a vehicle) to identify irregularities, safety hazards, security violations, or unauthorized persons.

Access Control: Manage the admittance process for personnel and visitors to ensure only authorized individuals enter the client site.

Emergency Response: Act as a first responder for a wide range of incidents, including fire, medical emergencies, bomb threats, elevator failures, and hazardous material leaks.

Incident Documentation: Prepare detailed logs and reports; in the event of an accident or crime, protect the scene and preserve evidence for further investigation.

Facility Inspections: Check fire control equipment, protection devices, and mechanical systems to ensure they are functioning correctly and that exits remain unblocked.

Regulatory Enforcement: Maintain order on the premises by enforcing site-specific directives and regulations.
Candidate Requirements

Licensing: Must meet and maintain all New Brunswick provincial licensing requirements for Security Guards.

Physical Stamina: Ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods; capable of climbing stairs and walking on uneven terrain or inclines.

Physical Tasks: Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds and frequent movement of up to 10 pounds; ability to kneel, crouch, or reach as required.
