Teen Challenge Canada | Moncton & Atlantic Region

Teen Challenge Canada is a nationally recognized, non-profit organization that provides 12-month, faith-based residential recovery programs for adults (18+) struggling with life-controlling addictions. While the organization maintains a primary Atlantic Men’s Centre in the greater Moncton area (specifically Memramcook), it operates as part of a broader network of nine centers across Canada.

Company Culture: “A Catalyst for Change”

The culture at Teen Challenge is deeply rooted in Christian Faith and Stewardship. It is an environment designed for those who believe in holistic transformation—not just sobriety, but the rebuilding of character and purpose.

  • Faith as the Catalyst: The organization operates on the belief that spiritual growth is the primary driver for overcoming addiction. Daily routines include morning “huddles” (devotionals) and spiritual mentorship.

  • The “Lodge Family” & Peer Support: As a residential program, the culture is highly communal. More than 25% of the staff are former clients (graduates), creating a unique workplace where empathy and lived experience are central to the mission.

  • Accountability & Love: The culture balances a strict, 12-month structured program with a high degree of “Heart.” Success is measured by “successful re-entry into society,” and staff are viewed as life-coaches who provide a mix of discipline and encouragement.

  • Meaningful Work: Staff are referred to as “Heartists” or ambassadors of hope, working within a motivated team that celebrates testimonies of transformation through the “Good Works” internal recognition program.
